My holiday writing

Have you ever been to Riverside camp?

Well this year the Riverside group has gone to Willow park, when i was getting ready to go camp i asked my mum for the time and she said 7:55 “am”. My brother said it was daylight savings, so i was late. My dad said we were going to make it but when we left to go to school where the bus was picking the group up it had just left when the bus left i felt so upset cause i missed the bus. We went home and stayed home then this man came to pick me up for camp his name was Dave, he was a friend of Mr Burt.

There were eight groups four boys and four girls groups. The boys groups names were, the R4BZ, Tanz, submarines and the BWA. The girls groups names were called the mufasa, pumba, flavas and C.O.G stands for children of god.

After morning tea we played games at the beach. Me and my cousin Mele built a mud pool we had to explain it to the group. We said that this mud pool represents where we come from. After that we took a photo of our group standing next to our portrait.

After that we had lunch and played more beach games, then  after the beach we had free time. Lots of kids went for showers and some just went to play. Then we went into the chapel. The chapel is like church where we do activities and learn more about Jesus and God. Then we went for dinner.

In the morning we had to read a book that was like the bible, before we had breakfast. It showed the scripture that we had to read every day and what were our activities. After that we had breakfast and then went for fitness. On the last day i didn’t like it because we had to run up this long step were other people did fitness.

On the second to last day we played a game that involved coloured plastic balls and a canon of foam The cannon of foam spread everywhere. When the activities started we had to listen to the instructions
or we might have an accident. I didn’t like the foam because it kept going in my mouth. I was covering my mouth with my t-shirt.

My favorite part of camp was when we were dancing to the disco and playing crunchie
hunt, my friend Machelle got the mosts cunchie. If you go to willow park you will never want to go back home?
